Course Description

An inspection-focused course explaining how PCAOB inspections are conducted and how inspectors evaluate audit evidence, documentation, significant judgments, and firm responses. Practical guidance is provided for inspection preparation, interviews, comments, findings, and remediation.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the PCAOB inspection process, including engagement selection, inspection procedures, communications with the firm, and potential inspection outcomes.

  • Identify audit areas, documentation issues, and audit execution deficiencies that commonly attract PCAOB inspector attention.

  • Evaluate audit documentation and evidence from the perspective of a PCAOB inspector and identify potential inspection vulnerabilities.

  • Apply practical strategies for preparing for and responding to PCAOB inspection requests, interviews, comments, and potential findings.

  • Analyze inspection findings and determine appropriate responses, remediation actions, and documentation to reduce the risk of recurring deficiencies.

Attendance Requirements

Participants must attend the entire program and actively participate in all sessions to receive full credit.
Partial credit will not be awarded.

Refund / Cancellation Policy

Refund requests must be submitted in writing at least 10 days prior to the program date. If Blue Diamond Audit Advisors must cancel a training course, participants will receive a full refund or a credit for a future training course, valid for up to 1 year from the date of the canceled event. Participants will be notified of any cancellation via email at the address provided during course registration.
