Harley Aronoff is a former PCAOB inspector and broker-dealer industry technical specialist with more than 15 years of experience in broker-dealer auditing, regulation, financial reporting, and operations. He advises accounting firms on PCAOB audit requirements, broker-dealer regulatory matters, audit quality, and inspection readiness.

Harley spent nearly eight years with the PCAOB, where he was an inspector and an original member of the Broker-Dealer Inspection Group. He also served on the group’s Technical Review Committee, providing technical expertise on broker-dealer audit and regulatory matters. During his tenure, Harley inspected PCAOB-registered accounting firms ranging from Big Four firms to sole practitioners and reviewed audits of broker-dealers of varying sizes and complexities, including some of the largest and most complex broker-dealers.

His experience also includes auditing broker-dealer financial statements and working directly within the securities industry. Harley previously served as a Branch Operations Specialist at Edward Jones & Co. and as Financial Reporting Manager at Citi Hedge Fund Services, where he was responsible for regulatory computations and FOCUS Report filings for more than 50 broker-dealers. He also previously held a Series 24 FINRA Principal license.

Harley is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois.
